For a long time, my WordPress website was almost forgotten.
I had written blog posts over the years, mostly about music, guitars, language learning, and things I found interesting. But the website itself never felt finished. Every time I thought about improving it, I quickly lost motivation.
The biggest problem wasn’t a lack of ideas.
It was that I didn’t know where to start.
WordPress offers many ways to customize a website, but for someone without much experience, every small change feels like another thing to learn. Changing the layout, choosing colors, organizing pages—it all seemed to take more time than I had.
When it was time to renew my web hosting, I seriously thought about closing the website for good.
I asked myself,
“Is this website really worth keeping?”
Since my hosting plan renewed automatically anyway, I decided to try one last thing before giving up.
I opened ChatGPT.

Instead of Searching for Answers, I Started Having Conversations
Rather than searching through dozens of websites and YouTube tutorials, I simply explained my situation.
I asked questions like:
- What kind of design fits the topics on my blog?
- How should I organize my pages?
- What should visitors see first?
- How can I make the website feel more personal?
The answers surprised me.
ChatGPT didn’t just explain WordPress features.
It suggested a complete direction for the website.
It even created simple layout ideas and explained why each part would work.
Because we had already talked many times about music, guitars, learning English, and blogging, it also understood my interests and suggested ideas that felt natural for me.
For the first time, I could actually imagine what my website could become.
The Biggest Change Was My Motivation
The most valuable thing wasn’t that AI saved me time.
It gave me a clear starting point.
When you’re working alone, it’s surprisingly difficult to stay motivated.
Sometimes the hardest part isn’t doing the work.
It’s deciding what to do first.
Once I had a clear direction, every small improvement became easier.
Changing the homepage.
Writing an About page.
Planning future articles.
Little by little, my website started looking like a real home for my ideas instead of an unfinished project.
AI Didn’t Build My Website
People sometimes ask whether AI will replace creativity.
After this experience, I don’t think that’s the right question.
ChatGPT didn’t build my website for me.
I still made every decision.
I still edited the pages.
I still chose what represented me.
What AI gave me was something different.
It gave me ideas.
It organized my thoughts.
It helped me see possibilities that I couldn’t see on my own.
Instead of replacing my creativity, it helped me use it.
This Is Just the Beginning
My website is still a work in progress.
There are many pages I want to improve and many blog posts I want to write.
But now I enjoy working on it.
Looking back, I’m glad I didn’t delete the website.
Sometimes all we need isn’t someone to do the work for us.
We just need something—or someone—that helps us take the first step.
For me, ChatGPT became that partner.
And I hope this website continues to grow, one small improvement at a time.
